Job Responsibilities/Requirements of an EHS Specialist:

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality or Industrial Engineering
• Quality and Environmental Systems
• Designing quality standards
• Develop safety programs and procedures
• Follow and implement OSHA regulations
• Expert knowledge of safety system analysis
• Support audit contractor and EHS policies and standards.
• Interface with state and federal agencies such as State Environmental agencies, DOT, EPA and OSHA
• Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards
• Experience with customer/internal/external audits, process management and measurement techniques
• Review current blueprints and quality documentation
• Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures
• Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
• In-depth understanding of technical documentation
• Develop and implement Safety programs
• Comply with environmental management system for manufacturing facility
• Conduct research for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants or environmental hazards
