Are you looking to make a career change in the manufacturing / medical device industry?  A global manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager for their location near Ann Arbor, MI.  This position offers relocation + comprehensive annual bonus structure. 

 

Job description:

Develop and drive the HR strategy, drive a proactive talent agenda, partner with key stakeholders to deliver year-over-year employee engagement improvement process.  Continually evaluate and make improvements to HR Administrative process while maintaining compliance standards.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Proactively lead the HR leadership teams to deliver mission critical needs and drive strategic talent and engagement improvement plans.
     
  • Develop and execute the strategic HR plan with key stakeholders across multiple business units.
     
  • Conduct & Evaluate Global Engagement Survey, develop action plans & monitor results. Continuously work with engagement committee to re-evaluate success & continuous improvement measures.
     
  • Establish key metrics and analytics to gauge program effectiveness and measure ROI; develop tracking mechanisms to build accountability and optimize the impact of the learning to drive continuous improvement.
     
  • Relentlessly drives for more efficiency/effectiveness in the HR processes to minimize time spent on low value add activities.
     
  • Ensures full compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and governmental regulations and makes recommendations to mitigate risk.
     
  • Manage business unit wide projects and studies in coordination with VP HR and Sr. HR Specialist, including talent reviews, compensation, incentives, policies and procedures and special projects.
     
  • Manages team of direct reports and is responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ experience in a Human Resources roles with proven progressive responsibility required.
  • Establish key metrics and analytics to gauge program effectiveness and measure ROI; develop tracking mechanisms to build accountability and optimize the impact of the learning to drive continuous improvement.
  • Design, Implement & Evaluate strategic plan to promote positive company culture
  • SPHR/PHR certification; strong knowledge HRIS
  • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP
  • Experience navigating a matrix organization, partner with multiple business units to foster creative productive growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to Travel 25%
