  • Overseeing daily food production operations
  • Ensuring accurate recipe as well as portioning controls
  • Ensuring proper quantity and quality of meals
  • Hiring, mentoring and training direct reports
  • Interaction with customers
  • Overseeing and providing support
  • Performing necessary record keeping
  • Compiling management reporting. This includes month-end inventory control and reporting
  • Assisting with route development to meet growth and efficiency models
  • Ensuring that food safety, sanitation guidelines, HACCP, GMP's and other compliance/regulatory requirements are maintained
  • Ensuring DOT compliance and maintaining required record keeping
  • Ensuring labor productivity and other standards consistently
  • Troubleshooting customer and program issues
  • Attending customer menu meetings and in-service
  • Overseeing purchasing, inventory control, food service ordering and preparation, sanitation and quality assurance, food and employee safety, facilities and grounds maintenance
  • Monitor and manage employees. These include 2 administrative members, 4 production workers and 6 FSRs. =



  • Bachelor's in Culinary Arts/Food Service Management or other related degree preferred and/or equivalent combination of experience/education
  • Current (or can obtain, Company has program available) ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • Valid AL Class D Regular Operator Driver License
  • Proven 2+ years Food Service Supervisory experience, institutional a plus
  • Proven training and experience in quantity food preparation procedures, food purchasing, food service management, and food safety and sanitation
  • Documented training in HACCP or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
  • Must possess working knowledge of the Elderly Nutrition Program (ENP) requirements and applicable Federal, State, and Local food laws and regulations
  • Personal Computer: MS Office, Windows, Excel; MRP/ERP systems; Bar code/RFID Technology A+; General Office Equipment
  • Strong Supervisory and Management Skills
  • Effective Verbal, Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Customer Relations Management, Team Building and People Management/Development Skills
  • Familiar with Routing, Distribution and Warehousing
  • Labor and Cost Management
